Darnella Schutzman is the Assistant Vice President of Embedded Solutions at Great American Insurance Group. In her role, Darnella focuses on identifying, creating, and implementing innovative insurance products that thrive in embedded environments.

With a career dedicated to the insurance industry, Darnella began her journey in claims before transitioning to product management. She has successfully managed a variety of personal and commercial insurance products across multiple verticals, including proptech, pet health, inland marine, and specialty vertical SaaS. Her extensive experience includes leading cross-functional teams consisting of product, operations, underwriting, data and business development professionals. This has provided her with a comprehensive perspective on both sides of the distribution channel, having led teams for both carriers and MGAs.

Darnella holds several professional designations, including CPCU, AIC, AINS, and SCLA, underscoring her commitment to excellence and continuous learning in the field of insurance.
