Piyush Singh is a seasoned insurance and InsurTech executive with a distinctive blend of Fortune 500 CIO leadership, entrepreneurial success, board-level and advisory experience. He brings almost three decades of experience driving transformation at the intersection of strategy, technology, and insurance innovation.

Piyush has served as Group SVP and Chief Information Officer at Great American Insurance Group and held senior leadership roles at American Financial Group. He was also the CIO at RLI. Earlier in his career, he worked in strategic consulting at PwC, as well as with global financial institutions including ANZ Bank and Citicorp.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Piyush is an accomplished entrepreneur. He founded and successfully exited an InsurTech venture within five years and most recently launched a Managing General Agency (MGA) based on a proprietary insurance product he developed. He did a two-year term as an Independent Director of an Insurance company. He currently serves on the board of a technology company and advises multiple high-growth InsurTech and Technology firms, bringing deep expertise in digital transformation, product innovation, and scaling businesses.

Piyush is widely recognized as an industry thought leader with a strong track record of anticipating market shifts and translating emerging trends into actionable business strategies. He is a frequent speaker at industry forums and is valued for his ability to bridge business and technology perspectives in complex environments.

Piyush is also deeply committed to academic and community engagement. Piyush has been an extremely popular Adjunct Professor at University of Cincinnati where he has taught a graduate level course for 15 years. He was a member of National Council of Advisors for Foster College of Business, Bradley University, past Chair of IS Advisory Group at University of Cincinnati, a past Trustee for Adler University, Chicago and a mentor at Columbia University's technology program. On the trade front he has been a past Chair of User Group of Computer Associates, past Board member of IASA, chaired the CIO Council in Cincinnati and founded and co-Chaired InTech50, a platform that brought entrepreneurs, investors and corporates across continents. He has also served the Red Cross and Artswave in Cincinnati in Board capacity.

He has received numerous industry honors, including being named to the "Elite 8 CIO" list twice (2005 and 2013), the only executive to achieve this distinction, as well as "Top 10 CIO Breakaway Leader" at the Global CIO Executive Summit and "Innovators to Watch."

He is the founder of KARNA, a nonprofit focused on expanding educational and technology opportunities for underserved communities, particularly young women.

Piyush holds an MBA and the CPCU designation. A global traveler and street photographer, he has visited all seven continents and summited Mount Kilimanjaro. Now aiming to get a dive in all oceans – one left to go!
